Web development & web design

Being beautiful isn’t enough.

For many years, we have been developing and maintaining websites for clients across a wide range of sectors, from compact company websites to complex web solutions with bespoke features and interfaces.

This experience has taught us that a good website must do more than just look good. It must be easy to understand, function properly and, ultimately, deliver results for the business.

First the structure. Then the design.

We’ll start with thesitemap: what pages are there, and we’ll link them together.
Next comes the wireframe – what goes where, what’s important, and what should happen next.
Only then do we move on to the design, followed by the programming.

Texts and images at the end

The finalised text and images come at the end, and everything is structured around them:

  • Sitemap and wireframe before the first draft
  • A layout that works with both a lot and a little content
  • No last-minute changes just before launch because the actual text doesn’t fit the grid

Complex behind the scenes. Simple for the user.

Services in detail

STRUCTURE & DESIGN

Your brand becomes a visual language: grid, typography, colour, visual style – consistent across all page types, not just the home page.

  • Sitemap and wireframe as a basis
  • Design concept based on your corporate identity
  • Design system with reusable building blocks
  • Clickable prototype before coding begins

Technical implementation

We build what we design. Nothing is lost between the design and the implementation.

  • Implementation in OpenDXP, Pimcore or bespoke
  • Designed from the outset for all screen sizes, not adapted retrospectively
  • Interfaces to ERP, PIM, CRM and other systems
  • Migration of existing content, including redirects

CONTENTS & CARE

The content comes last – and after that, the page stays with you.

  • Editorial interface, intuitive to use and tailored to your requirements
  • Modules that can be combined for everyday use
  • Training and documentation for the launch
  • Roles and approvals for multiple departments

Performance, SEO & Accessibility

What you can’t see determines the reach.

  • Load times and Core Web Vitals are part of the acceptance process
  • Clean structure, metadata, redirects, sitemap
  • Accessibility in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA from the outset

From simple to highly complex.

Our
web projects

Company websites, booking systems, ordering platforms, APIs or PIM integrations: we have been developing web solutions to meet a wide range of requirements for many years. Our strength really comes to the fore when off-the-shelf solutions are no longer sufficient.

Here is an insight into a wide variety of projects and solutions:

By the way, accessibility is
no longer just a nice-to-have.

The Act to Strengthen Accessibility has been in force since 28 June 2025 – and is now binding on many companies for the first time.

The BFSG transposes the European Accessibility Act into German law. The standard is EN 301 549, which refers to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

This mainly affects those who sell products to consumers online, allow them to make bookings, or provide an account service. Simple information pages run by small businesses are often not covered by this – and we’re telling you this simply to provide information, not to sell you anything.

  • Orders are placed, bookings made or customer accounts managed on your website
  • Your business has at least ten employees or a turnover or balance sheet total of more than €2 million
  • You provide banking, telecommunications, e-book or passenger transport services
  • Your business customers require suppliers to meet accessibility standards

This isa classification guide, not legal advice. It is best to check with your legal department to clarify whether and how the BFSG applies to you. We’ll take care of the implementation.

Digital projects are rarely just a website. They optimise processes.

Different requirements. Tailored solutions.

Our digital projects do not start with a specific technology, but with the question: Which processes need to be optimised? If product data and media are scattered across multiple locations, a PIM or DAM system may be the right solution. If content and product data need to be consolidated within a single system, a digital experience platform comes into play. And if off-the-shelf software doesn’t fit your specific workflows, we develop bespoke solutions. We also provide web development and web design for your digital presence, as well as hosting to ensure reliable operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

That depends on the scope, page types, interfaces and editorial requirements. Following a discussion, we will provide a reliable estimate of the cost range before any work begins.

That depends mainly on how quickly content and decisions are available. We’ll agree on the timetable together before we start.

Yes, that is the aim. You will receive training and documentation, and the modules are designed in such a way that the layout cannot be dismantled accidentally.

When it comes to design and new builds, we are happy to join an existing project. As regards operation and maintenance, we manage systems that we have installed ourselves.

We develop in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We will work with you beforehand to determine what is required for your organisation.

We rely on OpenDXP and Pimcore because we are able to manage both systems in production.
