aufwind RIDES brings together storytelling, design, engineering, media production, show technology and craftsmanship under one roof. This is how we create immersive dark rides, family attractions and themed worlds. From concept and construction through to film production, audio, special effects and theming, right through to the finished attraction, we develop experiences that allow visitors to immerse themselves in another world.
In addition to rides and immersive attractions, the aufwind RIDES portfolio also includes interactive themed worlds, adventure and themed trails, as well as custom-made exhibits.

Projects such as the Ravenmoor Darkride, the Scotland Yard Ride at Ravensburger Spieleland, spectacular flying theatres, innovative train simulators and the Wolkenfänger carousel demonstrate just how versatile aufwind RIDES are. Each project presents different challenges – but what they all have in common is the aim of combining creative ideas with sophisticated technology and precise execution.
Formats such as roadshow buses also form part of our core expertise; one example is the roadshow truck for Edeka Minden, featuring the ‘world’s smallest flying theatre’.
In the field of interactive experience worlds, we also develop other things, complete experience and themed trails – from conception and route planning right through to custom-made experience stations and interactive exhibits.

Thanks to our extensive range of machinery, we manufacture or print almost all parts in-house, thereby ensuring fast delivery times and competitive prices.
Thanks to our extensive expertise in the fields of drive technology, electrical engineering, PLC programming and electronics, we are able to develop highly complex control systems in-house and carry out regular maintenance on them.
Our creative and editorial team regularly develops innovative ideas and storyboards with thematic concepts for entire attractions.
Game development, complex control systems for our installations, or pre-shows – we develop all of these in-house using industry-leading platforms. This means that, should support be required, we can resolve any issues that may arise very quickly and comprehensively.
Thanks to our expertise in projection and fully automated warping and blending for multi-projector installations using the VIOSO solution, we are able to meet even the most demanding projection requirements.
From sound design and voice recording right through to the final mix, we create immersive soundscapes that are perfectly tailored to the story, the show and the ride.
From photorealistic visualisations to animated characters and complete pre-shows, all our 3D content is created entirely in-house.
