Darkrides by aufwind are custom-made themed rides, perfectly tailored to each theme park and its target audience. Each of our projects is characterized by complex technology combined with ingenious, creative concepts. From the initial idea through to storytelling, theming and media, right through to technical implementation, everything is created under one roof.

Scotland Yard Ride
The Scotland Yard Ride is a world first, combining the best of dark ride elements with thrilling outdoor scenes. Self-propelled vehicles take visitors right into the heart of London’s streets, past iconic landmarks, through tunnels and into intricately designed indoor areas.
More inspiration for indoors and outdoors
Another combination of a dark ride and an outdoor ride is the safari ride. Vehicles with a swivelling axle and a full-motion platform, travel long distances outdoors through themed scenes. As they pass through small buildings, themed as caves or similar, visitors experience breathtaking scenes, such as a jeep plummeting off a bridge, encounters with dinosaurs… etc.
Customised vehicles
The ride itself – whether in a tractor, jeep, mine cart or other themed vehicle – is turned into an unforgettable experience by the motion platform, which remains in operation throughout the journey.
By combining indoor and outdoor
Effects such as riding through a small waterfall and through themed landscapes can be combined with immersive experiences. Choosing this type of ride eliminates the need to construct large buildings for completely enclosed dark rides.

Immersive highlights
An aufwind dark ride is highly immersive and fully customizable. It can be non-interactive or fully interactive, depending on the theme. The vehicles can be individually themed and fitted with either horizontal drive and/or a rotational axis.
Thanks to the rotational axis and full motion platform on the vehicles, extremely immersive effects are guaranteed both within themed worlds and in front of flying theater screens.
Dark Ride
Software
All platforms are 100% real-time capable and can therefore be used in an extremely wide variety of ways. Our software makes it easy to play any show and to incorporate interactive elements for each seat (e.g. collecting points, controls). The intensity can also be adjusted individually for each vehicle and each run.

Drawing on our expertise in storytelling, pre-show design and the creation of attractions, we guarantee the seamless integration of all elements to create a cohesive and impressive experience.
